What is Aatma Collective?
Mission Statement
Aatma is the Kodagu word for “soul”; Kodagu, or Coorg, is a small district nestled in the Western Ghats of south Karnataka, India. It is abundant in coffee, spices, good people, and a landscape to take your breath away. The Kodava people have a beautiful language and deep familial ties to the land. I desire with Aatma Collective to share with you the connection the farmers have with their land, a kinship you can taste in the coffee, and the love and respect I have for the Kodava people.
My travels and the people I connect with influence me. I aspire to share my novels, short stories, and photography which portray my soul. I wish to preserve part of the Kodava language through my works and share with the world a place, and people, which touch me deeply.
Who is Mary?
Mary Ottoman is the owner of Aatma Collective, LLC. She is a graduate of Alma College and Baker College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts and Associates in Paralegal Studies, respectively.
Mary looks for the story hidden in everyday life, and strives to provide her customers with the highest quality product.
